Antonia was a professional Stage Manager for over 30 years working extensively in the UK and overseas. Originally starting as an Assistant Stage Manager in repertory theatre she then went on to specialise in opera production

​

In 2000 Antonia took up a lecturing role at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff UK. It was here that a long running relationship began with GDS and ETC to develop a new SM console and cue lights which have gone on to be installed across the world 'CueSystem'

​

In 2015 there was an opportunity to move to Asia for two years and take up the post of Head of Entertainment Technology, Management and Design at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts

2017 Antonia started her own project The Bamboo Manager Project which provides online courses and face to face support for early years managers in the creative industries who are looking to develop their management style-

In 2018 Antonia was invited to create a new faculty post of Visiting Assistant Professor in Stage Management at Florida State University. Over the course of nine months Antonia was able to develop a Stage Management specialism for students on the BA Theatre Programme alongside overseeing twelve productions

May 2019 Antonia happily returned to the UK to continue her career as a stage manager and educator

Antonia was invited to speak at conferences internationally and webinaires listed here and was often a guest on many podcasts.

Antonia presented with Jacqui George (Sharjah Performing Arts Academy) three series of the popular

‘Standby Please’ podcast. Which is still available on the website here

A resource which many institutions have added to their student's ‘Reading List’.

Since beginning to work in the education sector Antonia combined teaching with professional practice working predominantly as a Production Stage Manager for gala dinners, one-off special events and awards ceremonies. Notable work includes: -

Amy has worked as a freelance stage manager and show caller in theatre, events, television and education

for nearly 13 years.

After training under Antonia Collins (Founder - The Bamboo Manager Project) at
Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - Cardiff to gain an MA in Stage Management,

Amy started her professional career as an ASM in regional theatre and went on to tour extensively in musical theatre. In recent years projects have included immersive work, corporate events and shows that fulfil Amy's other passion: Travel!

​

Theatre credits include:

  • Show caller for 'Kan Yama Kan', a large-scale immersive and multi-disciplinary commissioned piece of theatre for Riyadh festival, Saudi Arabia

​

  • Production Stage Manager for 'Nest', an outdoor immersive, promenade production for  Leeds city of Culture and National Youth Theatre

​

  • Senior Stage Manager for 'GALWAD' a multi-platform, site specific and live TV broadcast theatre experience for Collective Cymru

​

  • Deputy Stage Manager:- Alexander Zeldin Company, European Tours and the National Theatre, London; Theatr Clwyd, North Wales; The Watermill Theatre, Newbury;             Donmar Warehouse, London; along with several UK and International Musical Theatre Tours.

  • ​​In 2023 Amy was invited by Jacqui George to be a guest stage management tutor at      Sharjah Performing Arts Academy in the UAE. 

In 2022 Amy was awarded Associate of Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - Cardiff:-

“celebrating significant contributions to the arts and society early in their chosen career”. 

Amy is currently on her 2nd rotation as a Board member of the Stage Management Association - UK

Andy has been working as an International Sound Designer and Audio Consultant for over 35 years.

In 2017 along with Antonia he helped to develop 'The Bamboo Manager Project' and became heavily involved when the online courses were created and launched.

​

Andy's musical theatre sound design credits include UK No1 touring productions of Godspell, Me and My Girl and High Society. Other significant productions include Jesus Christ Superstar and West Side Story and its subsequent transfer to the Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome for GöteborgsOperan – Sweden.

Andy’s sound design credits also include major symphonic arena concert tours and outdoor festivals from the UK to Malaysia. These include productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Another Kind of Magic, Stars of the Musicals, Thank You for the Music, Beatlemania!, Bond … James Bond, Grease In Concert and the world premiere of A Tribute to Dirty Dancing. Andy has also designed the European premiere of a concert version of South Pacific, broadcast by BBC Radio 2. Other concert designs include Fascinatin’ Rhythm-George Gershwin, The World of Rodgers & Hammerstein, New York! New York! – Gershwin/Bernstein, a celebration symphonic concert, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and also numerous symphonic performances of West End The Concert and Broadway The Concert featuring the principal orchestras of many international cities.

​

His audio consultancy work includes the re-imagining of Imagine for Festival City, Dubai and numerous productions for Disneyland Hong Kong.

Andy’s musical corporate event designs range from venues as diverse as Buckingham Palace (London), Opera Garnier (Paris) and the Hall Of Flags (Washington DC).

Andy is a regular guest lecturer in sound at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff.
